This message will continue our look at the early Christians and how our current situations might mirror some of their joy and challenges. Portions of Acts 2 and Acts 4 will be used as we consider how the love of God is reflected in our actions and attitude.
This message serves to remind us how Jesus welcomes us in our sinfulness the same way he welcomed Peter. He accepts our confession and asks us to follow him. Scripture for this sermon comes from Luke 5 and John 21.
We look at James, the brother of Jesus, as someone who moved from skepticism to become a key figure in early Christianity. Scripture will come from Matthew 13, Mark 3, 1 Corinthians 15, and Acts 21.
As we celebrate the resurrection, we look at Exodus 12, 1 Peter 1, John 1, and John 10 to point us to Christ Jesus as the perfect sacrifice for the atonement of humanity.
